Mecanicus has one mission: to pass on automotive passion to future generations. We believe in a different way of approaching both passion and the role of a professional in this industry.

Of course, we are dealers—but above all, we are enthusiasts, and we own our inventory. In our view, this is the only way to be fully aligned with our clients, whether buyers or sellers.

But we go further: we have created a place dedicated to passion, open to everyone, regardless of the car they drive—as long as they enjoy sharing it.

We specialize in enthusiast vehicles and are passionate about automobiles. We purchase all types of sports cars, collector cars, or vehicles with a strong connection to automotive passion, such as coupes, convertibles, sports cars, historic models, or rare vehicles.

Quality is at the heart of our approach: each vehicle is selected according to strict criteria such as mileage, overall condition, service history, and a complete file of invoices. By placing such importance on these factors, we ensure our clients receive a high-quality, reliable car that truly reflects their passion.

Is the service paid?

No, the service is not paid. At Mecanicus, we purchase your vehicle directly: you are selling to professionals, with no hidden fees or commissions to pay.

At Mecanicus, we understand that your preferences or needs may evolve. If you wish to modify your search criteria after submitting the form, simply contact us directly—by phone, email, or WhatsApp. Our team will update your request and continue the search based on your new criteria, with no fees or obligation.

How do we work?

Our priority is to be transparent and, above all, to ensure that our interests are fully aligned with those of our clients. That’s why we own our vehicles and handle all financial transactions directly.

Mecanicus is the only counterparty you deal with, ensuring consistent quality, follow-up, and customer service.

All our vehicles are inspected by brand-specialist mechanics across France (we work with around a hundred partner garages) and are dynamically tested by our experts.

Once purchased, each vehicle systematically goes through our workshop for a full inspection, and any necessary work is carried out to ensure it is in perfect condition.

All transactions are handled through Mecanicus, with all administrative processes managed electronically and instantly by our team to simplify the buying or selling experience as much as possible.

All our cars are available to view at our premises, located at 70 Avenue Jean Moulin in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Our entire team is at your disposal for any further information.

What happens after I submit my request?

After completing the valuation form, our team of buyers takes over!

To ensure we can respond quickly and accurately, it’s essential to fill in all the requested information— the more complete your form is, the more reliable and personalized our valuation will be.

As soon as you submit your request, our experts are automatically notified and carefully review your car’s details (overall condition, mileage, year, history, etc.).

We then contact you within 24 hours to discuss, refine the valuation, and provide you with the best possible offer.

At Mecanicus, every request is handled in a personalized way, with passion and transparency.

Our goal: to provide you with a buyback offer that reflects both your vehicle and the market.

Are there any fees for this search service?

Submitting a search request is completely free of charge. Our margin is realized at the time of the vehicle’s purchase, with full transparency. When we present you with suitable vehicles, we sign an agreement outlining all the search conditions, including the purchase price and the sale price.

This allows us to inspect, test, and purchase any car anywhere in Europe.

A mechanic who has specialized in a specific brand or model for 15 years is best placed to assess a vehicle. That’s why we build close, long-term relationships with this type of partner, enabling us to develop the best network of brand specialists in France.

How long does it take to sell my car?

At Mecanicus, we own our inventory. This means we purchase your car directly, significantly reducing the time required to sell it. After submitting your request on our website, you will be contacted within 24 hours. If your vehicle meets our selection criteria, you will receive a buyback offer shortly thereafter, and the sale can be completed within 48 hours.

We come to you, inspect the vehicle on a lift, and take it with us immediately after payment is made via instant bank transfer. No surprises—the funds are visible in your account right away, and all transactions are fully secure.

How does the transaction proceed once the vehicle has been found?

Once the vehicle has been found and approved, we take care of everything. We purchase the vehicle from its previous owner to ensure a secure transaction, have it transported to our premises, you complete your payment directly with us, and delivery can take place immediately afterwards.

How is the buyback offer calculated?

It is calculated by our buyers based on the information provided, the follow-up phone call resulting from your request on our website, and the market conditions that we continuously monitor.

Can I be sure of the vehicle’s quality?

Yes, this is a top priority at Mecanicus. Every car we offer is thoroughly inspected and tested by our experts and brand-specialist mechanics, with whom we work closely across France. We personally drive the vast majority of our vehicles—often over several hundred kilometers—to ensure their reliability and proper performance before offering them for sale. This is the only way to guarantee complete peace of mind for the future owner.

All vehicles also go through a partner workshop for a comprehensive inspection and, if necessary, any required work to ensure they are in perfect condition at delivery.

Finally, we remain present after the sale: if any issue arises, our team is committed to following up and resolving it, as trust and customer satisfaction are at the heart of our approach.

What documents do I need to provide to sell my car?

To sell your car to us, you simply need to provide the registration certificate (vehicle registration document) in your name, the most recent valid roadworthiness test (if the vehicle is over 4 years old), as well as the vehicle’s service history (service book, invoices, etc.). These documents allow us to verify the condition and compliance of your car, ensuring a simple, fast, and secure transaction.

Can I purchase a vehicle remotely?

Yes, it is absolutely possible to purchase your vehicle remotely. After selecting your car, we will send you a purchase order to sign, followed by a 10% deposit to secure the vehicle. We provide all the necessary information (photos, history, vehicle condition) and remain available to answer your questions at every stage.

Once the remaining balance has been paid, we organize delivery of the vehicle to the address of your choice, anywhere in France or Europe, with a professional carrier. The vehicle is dispatched as soon as full payment has been received.

How does reserving a car work?

To reserve a car, simply submit a request to our team. We will then send you a purchase order to sign, along with a deposit representing 10% of the vehicle’s value. Once the purchase order is signed and the deposit has been paid, the car is secured for you.

If any work or preparation is required on the vehicle, it will be completed prior to delivery. We will then schedule the handover together, with the option to arrange home delivery. The vehicle will be dispatched once full payment has been received.
